Just like astronauts who walk on the moon, this module has important relevance to balance. Climbing up the cargo net, the child steps or hops onto “craters”, moving and bouncing counter clockwise from crater to crater. For stability, the child’s abdominal muscles must be engaged. Once the Moon Walk is completed the child jumps into the ball pond.
At a more advanced level, the instructor will throw a ball to the child after each step, building balance, ankle strength, and hand-eye coordination.
